Logistics & Fleet Assistant Manager

LaundryRepublic is looking for an experienced Logistics & Fleet Assistant Manager to work within our established, sustainable dry cleaning and laundry business. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual with an operations background to join a successful, fast-growing company. 

Reporting to the Operations Manager and overseen by the Operations Director, you will lead the Delivery Driver team at LaundryRepublic’s state-of-the-art dry cleaning and laundry operations, based in Balham, South West London. 

The role will deliver excellent team and logistics management including shift scheduling, delivery round management, onboarding and training, and vehicle maintenance of our 10-van fleet. You will liaise closely with the Production Assistant Manager and the Customer Service Manager to deliver a successful day-to-day operation with emphasis on exceptional quality, accuracy and efficiency.

Role Summary

The Logistics & Fleet Assistant Manager is a key role in the company, and this is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to make a huge difference in a fast-growth company with plenty of scope for future career progression. This is a hands-on, on-site role with very limited opportunity for home working.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Weekly shift scheduling of Driver team
  • Daily delivery round assignment
  • Fleet maintenance including Repairs and MOTs
  • Daily driver liaison
  • Driver Onboarding and Training
  • Driving a standard Delivery Driver shift once per week minimum

About You 

  • You will have 4+ years experience of logistics and fleet experience in any operationally-intensive and team-oriented industry (e.g. Laundry/Dry Cleaning, F&B, Grocery, Manufacturing, Q Commerce, Retail etc)
  • You have experience of vehicle maintenance and working with external mechanics
  • You are highly organised and process-driven, with superior time-management skills 
  • You have a natural ability to motivate and communicate effectively with team members
  • You are highly proactive and resourceful: you love making things happen
  • You will have the ability to be relentlessly focussed on customer and client experience
  • You are numerate and enjoy using data to solve problems

Other Requirements

  • You have fluent English, both spoken and written
  • You have a full, clean Driving Licence
  • You must be eligible to live and work in the UK
  • As this is an in-person role, you are based within commuting distance of Balham, London
  • You are available to be on site for the core hours required by the role as follows:

-Monday to Thurs: 7.30am to 4pm

-Friday: 7.30am to 12pm

-Saturday: 7.30am to 11.30am
